What this site collects, in plain language

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand traffic — which pages get read, roughly which country visitors come from, and which device type. GA4 sets cookies and uses similar technology to do this. It doesn't collect names, email addresses, or anything you'd consider personally identifying, and I don't cross-reference it with anything else.

Advertising

Some pages on this site show ads served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can see and adjust what Google knows for ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of personalized advertising cookies generally at aboutads.info.

The meme maker

The meme generator runs entirely in your browser on an HTML canvas. If you pick a template face, type a caption, or upload your own image, none of it is sent to a server — everything happens locally on your device. Nothing you make there is stored by this site.

Accounts and logins

There are none. Nothing on this site requires signing up, logging in, or providing an email address, except if you choose to email me directly.

The comment/message board

If you leave a message on the board, that message (and whatever you type into it) is stored so it can be shown to other visitors — don't put anything in it you wouldn't want public. It doesn't require an account or email to post.

Third parties this site talks to

• Cloudflare — hosts this site and its live box-office data feed

No other analytics, tracking pixels, or ad networks are in use as of the date at the top of this page. If that changes, this page will be updated.
