Niu Lai and the provenance problem: why “human slop” isn't a moat
The English-speaking internet decided Niu Lai was a revolt against AI slop. In Chinese, nobody was talking about AI at all. What actually happened, why crude human output is not a defensible advantage, and why the only thing that survives contact with generative systems is a claim about the world somebody could check.
